November 7 is celebrated in the gaming community as N7 Day, a time to honor the beloved Mass Effect series and share potential news updates. While fans eagerly await a proper Mass Effect sequel, BioWare is currently focused on Mass Effect 4, and there seems to be a considerable wait before any gameplay details are unveiled, despite a short teaser revealed on N7 Day 2023. The studio leverages this occasion to promote new merchandise, offer small glimpses of future projects, and more.
Though BioWare has just launched a new Dragon Age installment, they let fans know that expectations should be tempered this year. A statement on their social media stated, “This year is a little different as we just launched Dragon Age: The Veilguard as a studio; so we’re purposefully keeping things lighter as we celebrate the launch of the game.”
Additionally, BioWare has re-stocked their official store with an exciting array of new merchandise, such as an N7 trench coat, crop tops, hoodies, T-shirts, decorative bookends, and even a nearly 10-inch-tall statue of Wrex. The company also hinted at crossovers with other games; for example, No Man’s Sky is set to once again feature the Normandy. Furthermore, Variety reported that a Mass Effect television series is currently in development at Amazon. Thus, despite claims of a “lighter” year, there’s still plenty for fans to enjoy.
Patch 1 also addressed numerous issues within Dragon Age: The Veilguard, such as restoring companion skill points, fixing odd NPC neck stretching, and ensuring DLSS options are accessible on Nvidia’s 40-series GPUs.
