Vizio's New Soundbar Includes Everything for Karaoke

Vizio has introduced its latest soundbar, the MicMe, which may resemble their conventional TV speakers but comes packed with something special: a pair of rechargeable wireless microphones—perfect for karaoke enthusiasts. The karaoke mode activates automatically once you turn on one of the microphones. Not only can you use this with your favorite karaoke app available on your smart TV or streaming device, but Vizio has also launched a complimentary MicMe Karaoke mobile app that features a vast catalog of over 85,000 songs from Stingray. You can purchase the Vizio MicMe for $350 at retailers like Walmart, Sam’s Club, Best Buy, Amazon, and Target, with availability set for the end of November.

While the karaoke feature steals the spotlight, the MicMe soundbar delivers impressive audio with support for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, accompanied by a wireless subwoofer. This 2.1-channel soundbar can connect to any television equipped with an HDMI ARC/eARC port. For users with a newer Vizio TV, there’s the convenient QuickFit connection, optimizing the setup for wall-mounted arrangements.

The set includes two microphones that come with their own charging station. Vizio boasts approximately 8 hours of use from a fully charged mic. Activating a microphone automatically turns on the karaoke mode in the soundbar, blending your voice with whatever audio is playing, including music streamed via Bluetooth from your smartphone. When the microphones are placed back on the charging station, karaoke mode is also deactivated.

The microphones feature six different voice enhancement settings and offer nine ambient color options, which users can select either directly on the mics or through the MicMe Karaoke app.

In March 2024, Walmart acquired Vizio, and since then, the company has unveiled two new products: a $99 Dolby Atmos soundbar and its very first 86-inch 4K television.
