Google and Facebook employees have given the go-ahead to work from home until 2021 due to Coronavirus lockdown.
Google and Facebook, tech giants, have announced that the majority of their workers are now working remotely through this year, 2020. Keeping the coronavirus situation in mind, many companies have allowed Work from home to keep their employees safe from the virus outbreak.
Furthermore, Facebook has also announced that they will be closing their offices till the 6th of July, told Digital Phablet. The company allowed employees to work from home until 2021.
Meanwhile, it was being confirmed that which employees will be working in their offices.
Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that their first priority is to get economy up and running before they come back to the offices.
He also said people who review Content Reporting officers will be there because they respond to reports of insensitive content and copyright issues. Also added that the offices will open one by one for the selected employees.
Similarly, Google’s CEO, Sundar Pichai also ensured that the employees will work from home until 2021 and will hold all the meetings online, including himself.
Giving the sad news, he also announced that due to the coronavirus situation, the office cannot bear the expensive expenses given to employees from Google, which includes home office furniture, decoration, fitness, and food, or any gifts.
The policy update also ensured that employees won’t be able to use the budgets to purchase meals for themselves.
Last month, Sundar Pichai also asked Google and Alphabet recruiters to slow down the hiring process for 2020.
Sundar Pichai also working on the cost-cutting for the company to keep the cash flows smooth for the organization.
