WhatsApp is improving its upcoming message translation feature, which will allow users to translate chat messages and channel updates directly within the app.
This functionality is currently in development, with the goal of overcoming language barriers by enabling automatic message translations for users in the future.

The latest Android beta version of WhatsApp (2.24.26.9), which can be downloaded from the Google Play Store, indicates that the translation process will occur entirely on the user’s device.
This approach guarantees that no user data will be sent to third-party services or WhatsApp’s servers, thus maintaining end-to-end encryption and ensuring user privacy.
To facilitate offline translations, users will be able to download language packs beforehand. Once these packs are installed, translations will be executed locally, allowing users to read messages in various languages even without internet access.
It’s important to remember that these translations may not always be fully accurate, as occasional errors can happen during offline processing.
Although the feature is still in progress, WhatsApp remains committed to prioritizing privacy and security. This translation capability aims to streamline communication across different languages, making interactions easier for users connecting with speakers of various languages.
This update is part of WhatsApp’s ongoing mission to enhance user experience while safeguarding security, with plans to roll out this feature more widely in upcoming updates.
