Huawei was in tough times when the US completely banned Huawei and restricted US companies to do any kind of trade with the Chinese tech giant, Huawei, accusing the company of spying on the country and sharing the data with Chinese Government. Which Huawei had clarified that they had no link with the Chinese government, and all the accusations are baseless.
To comply with the Trump administration orders famous US companies Google, Qualcomm, Intel and Facebook had cut ties with the Huawei.
Huawei faced a drop in their sales, but they still managed to ship 100 smartphones by the end of May 2019. The company also announced its own Operating System, Hongmeng OS as a rival to Android.
Surprisingly, Huawei is still leading in the global 5G race, winning 50 major commercial contracts all over the world.

Huawei’s managing director revealed the exact figure during Shanghai’s “5G IS NOW” summit. Figures stated that Huawei has now 50 major 5G commercial contacts from the countries including South Korea, Finland, Switzerland, and the UK, making Huawei the world’s biggest 5G equipment supplier.
Huawei currently standing on the first spot in the 5G race, while Nokia and Ericsson have now stood on second and third position with 30 and 18 contracts.
The statistics have revealed that 34% of the 5G equipment is provided by Huawei, whereas 25% is from South Korea while the US and Finland are currently at 14%.
Huawei once again proved its power, but the time will tell how this is going to help Huawei in making their cell phones even better.
