At CES 2020, Amazon has announced that people will now be able to use Alexa to pay for their gas. In September 2020, Amazon announced that the feature will work at 11,500 gas stations all across the United States. The company has also announced the partnership with Fiserv to empower the transaction and ensuring the secure payment as well as token generation, all of these payments will be processed through Amazon Pay.

You will require Echo Auto (Alexa Automotive) which is an Alexa-enabled vehicle or device, or you can also use Alexa app on your iPhone and Android and use the voice command “Alexa, Pay for gas” to start the payment process, the payment will be processed in seconds through Amazon pay and the invoice will be generated in your account.
- Visit an Alexa-pay support pump.
- Ask Alexa to “Pay for Gas” using your device or app.
- Alexa will confirm before processing the payment and activating the pump.
- Get your fuel up.
- Payment will be processed successfully once you’re done fueling your vehicle.
