On Monday, Microsoft revealed a new lineup of devices powered by artificial intelligence.

CEO Satya Nadella showcased the new Copilot+ PCs, stating that Microsoft, in collaboration with Dell Technologies, Qualcomm, Intel, and Advanced Micro Devices, will create the “fastest, most intelligent Windows PCs ever built.”

The Copilot+ PCs, supported by the Snapdragon X series, run AI workloads locally for improved performance. At Microsoft’s AI press event, it was announced that Copilot+ PCs have faster AI assistants that operate directly on a PC. Now, let’s dive into the devices presented at the event.

1. Surface Laptop (7th Edition)

The new Surface laptop, the first device to support Copilot+ PC, was showcased at the event. Microsoft described the Surface laptops as lightning-fast devices, powered by Snapdragon X Elite and Plus processors. Despite its compact size, the device’s touch display can reach 600nits of brightness and comes in 13.8 and 15-inch options.

The standout feature of this device is its high AI index. The updated PC uses AI acceleration to improve user experience and productivity. With AI operations, users can access features like Recall and enhanced Windows Studio effects, which improve the video call experience with real-time automatic Live Captions.

2. Surface Pro (11th Edition)

As the name implies, this device is an upgrade from the Surface laptop mentioned above. The 11th edition of the Surface Pro is 90% faster than its predecessor. The OLED cinematic touchscreen display is a standout feature, along with other AI-powered capabilities.

Before we delve into the AI features, let’s talk about the battery life of this device. Microsoft claims that the latest model of the Surface Pro has an all-day battery life, providing up to 14 hours of video playback with less downtime for charging. The front camera, which can capture 4K video and performs well in low light, has also been highly praised.

3. Acer Swift 14 AI

The Acer Swift 14 AI laptop, supported by Snapdragon, allows AI to run at its full potential. It also supports tools like Recall and Cocreator. The AI enhances the experience of video calls, game optimization, real-time translations, and even speech captions for any live or pre-recorded video.

The device’s touch display measures 14.5 inches. With 32GB RAM and up to 1TB of expandable storage, the Acer Swift 14 AI laptop will be available for $1,100.

4. HP Omnibook X

Powered by the robust Snapdragon X Elite CPU, the device operates at up to 12 cores and a top speed of 3.4GHz. The Qualcomm Hexagon chipset also boosts the AI index. The laptop’s specs include up to 32GB of RAM and up to 2TB of solid-state storage.

The HP Omnibook X will also support the same Copilot+ features as the others. It also features a multitouch-enabled 14-inch display, complete with Corning Gorilla Glass, dual speakers with HP audio boost technology, and Wi-Fi 7 integration.

5. HP EliteBook Ultra G1q

Another offering from HP, the EliteBook Ultra G1q also uses the Snapdragon X Elite CPU, along with an NPU capable of more than 40 trillion operations per second. This indicates the speed of the AI tasks that will run on this device. Like all other Copilot+ laptops, this device will also be able to display all the AI characters.

8. ASUS Vivobook S15

The ASUS Vivobook S15, powered by the Snapdragon X Elite processor, includes a collection of home-grown AI-centric applications. The ultra-thin device has a 15.6-inch OLED screen size and a 70Wh battery that provides 18 hours of use per charge.

9. Dell Inspiron and Latitude Series

The Copilot+ PC range includes a variety of Dell laptops. Dell has the largest portfolio with five laptops listed as a Copilot+ PC range. All these devices are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X line chipset. These devices are the XPS 13, Inspiron 14, Inspiron 14 Plus, Latitude 5455, and Latitude 7455.
