On October 11, 2023, the research firm TechInsights released an analysis report focusing on the key radio frequency components of Huawei’s Pura 70 Ultra smartphone. This report reveals how Huawei is advancing its mobile radio architecture.

TechInsights highlighted Huawei’s ongoing commitment to cutting-edge technology, particularly in the realm of 5G radio design. As part of Huawei’s strategy to develop entirely domestically produced components, the Pura 70 Ultra builds upon the successes of the Mate 60 series.

The analysis indicates that the Pura 70 Ultra shares a significant amount of its mobile RF architecture with the Mate 60 and Mate 60 Pro/Pro+. Components like the FR1 RF TCVR, Wi-Fi/BT SoC, and UHB L-PAMiD are sourced from HiSilicon, while the MSS SoC comes from China Electronics Group, and MMB PAM is supplied by Angu Weiwei.

Additionally, while the origins of MHB L-PAMiD and LB L-PAMiD are not explicitly stated, the presence of “CN” in their model numbers suggests they are likely domestic components. This reinforces the notion that the Pura 70 Ultra is equipped with parts manufactured by local suppliers.

Moreover, the Pura 70 Ultra features dual satellite communication capabilities, supporting both the Beidou and Tiantong networks. This functionality is made possible through the integration of the China Electronics MSC06A MSS SoC and the HiSilicon Hi1105GFCV120, along with other supporting components.

This analysis underscores Huawei’s significant strides in the telecommunications sector, particularly as the company continues to enhance the capabilities of its devices with locally sourced technology.
