Google Pixel 6 To Release With The 4K Selfie Video

With Pixel 6, Google would allow users to record videos in 4K with the selfie camera. In any case, this is what the last update of the Camera application made for Pixels suggests. In the process, the leak reveals a hole placed on the top center of the screen.

While digging through the code of the APK of Google Camera 8.2, our colleagues at 9to5Google have unearthed several clues concerning the features that will be integrated into the Pixel 6. The media has indeed found several mentions to “Oriole” and “Raven,” the code names assigned to the future range.

First of all, a line of code suggests that the Pixel 6 will allow video recording in 4K using the camera for selfies. For the record, the Pixel 5 can only shoot 1080p at 30 frames per second. According to 9to5Google, the Mountain View giant has decided to lift the restrictions on the front camera. On the other hand, the APK of Google Camera 8.2 does not reveal whether Google aims to increase the number of images recorded per second.

Google Will Place The Punch In The Center Of The Pixel 6 Screen

Then, a line confirms the presence of a perforated screen. After adopting the notch, Google turned to the punched screen in 2019 with the Pixel 4. The brand will stay true to this design. On the other hand, the punch would now be relocated to the center of the upper part of the screen rather than in the left corner. This is also the case on the Pixel 5a, Google’s next mid-range. This new provision should force Google to move the time and notification indicators to the screen’s far left.

As a reminder, Google should not unveil the Pixel 6 until next fall. Until then, the Californian manufacturer could still change its mind about the features that have appeared in the Camera application. As always, we advise you to take this leak with a grain of salt, and we will tell you more as soon as possible about the next flagships of Google.
