Indiana Jones & The Great Circle: A Guide to the "Monkey Business" Mystery Quest
In Indiana Jones & The Great Circle, players can engage in various Mystery side quests, including the intriguing "Monkey Business." In this mission, you’ll set out to recover items that have been swiped by local animals. The challenge here lies less in combat and more in your exploration abilities. Using your map alongside various clues, you can uncover a valuable reward linked to a significant upgrade.
To embark on this Mystery, you must advance quite far in the game. The "Monkey Business" quest is exclusively located in Sukhothai Village, an area accessible after you’ve progressed through a substantial part of the main storyline. By the time you reach this point, you should have completed several other side quests in Indiana Jones & TGC, giving you insight into the goals for this particular quest.
How to Initiate the Monkey Business Mystery
Infiltrate a Hidden Facility
Upon arriving at Sukhothai Village, direct yourself south along the river from the west entrance of Wat Mahathat. Continue navigating downstream until you discover a dock in the southeastern area, just before one of Sukhothai’s more prominent islands. This will lead you to the Fascist Armory, a clandestine bunker concealed within the jungle that is stocked with equipment utilized by enemy forces you’ve already encountered.
A formidable barbed-wire fence blocks the entrance to this Armory. However, there’s a significant gap you can slip through, positioned beside a sizable wooden plank featuring a tiger spray-painted on it. Proceed through some ruins until you can access the small camp that contains the Armory. Once there, enter the tallest building in the vicinity to discover the essential clues.
It’s worth noting that this location is teeming with fascist soldiers, so you’ll need to tread carefully. A helpful tip for navigating Indiana Jones & TGC is to prioritize stealth over confrontation, especially in hostile territories like the Fascist Armory.
Inside the Armory’s main structure, you’ll find a warning regarding the monkeys in the vicinity. Snap a photo of this warning using your camera for Adventure Points, which will help you secure the later reward linked to this Mystery. Additionally, collect a Mystery Note on the table next to the warning to officially start the "Monkey Business" quest.
How to Solve the Monkey Business Mystery
Find the Stolen Key
After reading the Mystery Note, you’ll learn that the keys to the Equipment Room are missing. Indiana explains that the monkeys in Sukhothai Village likely grabbed them, as they have a penchant for shiny objects. Thus, your task is to track down those mischievous monkeys before the fascist soldiers can retrieve the stolen keys.
Picking up the note next to where the keys should be located will grant you 50 Adventure Points. This Mystery bears similarities to "A Thief’s Promise" in Gizeh, focusing on recovering an item rather than a treasure. Thankfully, the key isn’t too far from the Armory—exit the facility through the same hole in the fence you entered. Once outside, turn left and traverse the remnants of a collapsed brick wall that marks part of the ruins utilized by the fascists.
Continue onward, navigating through the murky waters to your right. You’ll arrive at a small clearing where several monkeys are frolicking with an assortment of stolen goods. Here, you’ll find the Equipment Room Key resting on a rock, surrounded by a pistol, a few books, and another ring of keys belonging to various areas within the Armory.
While you can’t carry the entire key ring back, you can return to the Armory and unlock the door to the Equipment Room from where you began the Mystery. Doing so will reward you with a rare item. Completing this Mystery not only provides access to your well-deserved reward but also opens the door to some exceptional resources, including:
- Slugger II (Adventure Book)
Once you finish the "Monkey Business" Mystery in Indiana Jones & The Great Circle, you can spend 900 Adventure Points to read this book, which enhances the damage from charge-up attacks.
Engage in the adventure with confidence, and remember: exploration and curiosity are your best allies!
