In this article, we will review the GameSir G8 Galileo, and tell you about its features, design, performance, compatibility, and price. We will also share with you the pros and cons of this controller, and give you our final verdict.

Features

GameSir G8 Galileo 2

The GameSir G8 Galileo is a mobile game controller that offers a lot of features to enhance your gaming experience. Some of the features are:

• Large controller design for enhanced gaming experience
• Supports both Apple and Android platforms (Type-C)
• Mechanical cross-shaped buttons, conductive silicone ABXY keys
• Adjustable Type-C connector, compatible with phone cases
• Pass-through charging + 3.5mm audio support
• Dual programmable back buttons
• Replaceable thumbsticks
• Dual Hall Effect sensors for buttons and thumbsticks
• Key combo function, one-touch screenshot
• Durable rings, laser patterns, screw-free design details
• Works with iPhone 15-series

Design

The GameSir G8 Galileo is designed to be more comfortable and performance-focused than the smaller X2, thanks to the larger ergonomic palm rests. The general button layout is largely the same, but the digital pad is now all at once rather than with separate buttons, and you have a screenshot button as well.

Then, on the rear of the controller are two programable back buttons. The two analogue sticks are hall effect which utilises magnets and sensors to detect stick movement rather than physical potentiometers that are prone to wear and drift over time. This means the sticks should maintain their precision and be drift-free even after extensive use.

The analogue sticks are also swappable, with three extras included in the box with differently shaped and textured stick ends. Then, on the extendable body section is a 3.5mm AUX output and a USB-C port, which can do passthrough charging. If you don’t use a USB-C cable, the phone will power the controller. The controller only comes in grey at the moment, but the faceplates are attached magnetically and I would assume new colours and designs would be made available.

Performance

The GameSir G8 Galileo is a mobile game controller that delivers a smooth and responsive gaming performance. It connects to your phone via USB-C, which ensures a stable and instant connection. It also supports pass-through charging, which means you can play and charge your phone at the same time.

The controller has a built-in battery that lasts for up to 10 hours of continuous gaming, and it can be recharged via the USB-C port. The controller also has a key combo function, which allows you to assign multiple actions to a single button, such as launching a game, taking a screenshot, or switching modes. The controller also has a one-touch screenshot button, which lets you capture your gaming moments easily. The controller also has a GameSir app, which allows you to customize your controller settings, such as remapping buttons, adjusting sensitivity, and updating firmware.

Compatibility

The GameSir G8 Galileo is a mobile game controller that supports both iOS and Android devices. It works with most smartphones that have a Type-C port, and it is compatible with phone cases. The controller also works with the iPhone 15-series, which is a big plus for Apple fans. The controller supports a wide range of games, such as Call of Duty Mobile, PUBG Mobile, Fortnite, Genshin Impact, Asphalt 9, and more.

You can also use the GameSir app to access more games that are compatible with the controller. The controller also supports cloud gaming services, such as Xbox Game Pass, Google Stadia, and Nvidia GeForce Now, which allow you to stream and play console and PC games on your phone.

Price

  • $79

The GameSir G8 Galileo is a mobile game controller that is priced at $79.99, which is quite reasonable for the features and quality it offers. You can buy it from Amazon, GameSir, or other online retailers. The controller also comes with a 12-month warranty and a 30-day money-back guarantee.

It also has a reasonable price, a long battery life, and a customizable design. The only drawbacks are that it can take some time to configure the buttons for some games, and that it only comes in grey colour. Overall, we think the GameSir G8 Galileo is a great mobile game controller.
