You Can Play Google Stadia on Xbox Consoles With Edge Browser

With the new Edge Browser launch, gamers can play Google Stadia on Xbox by using the chromium-based browser by Microsoft.

Some software you would typically connect with personal computers has found its way to consoles, for example, the chromium-based version of Microsoft Edge web browser, which is now being tested for Xbox.

Now a less broken and more modern web browsing can be experienced by the console through the new Microsoft edge for Xbox. According to Verge’s report, data syncing, extensions, new vertical tabs, and everything supported are available on Edge on Windows.

This is perhaps a testament to both Microsoft’s capabilities, making edge and chromium cross platforms worldwide, including Android and its supporting platforms.

It has dozens of web apps already working on chromium-based web browsers, which is a more exciting capability. Beyond discord and Skype, it might mean that the Microsoft edge could run the Google stadia games streaming service on the Xbox.

It is a different question if Google or Microsoft will allow that to happen. The Edge browser on Xbox is still in the alpha version and does not fully support the keyboard and mouse. If Xbox became an unofficial Stadia Machine, it would be an exciting turn of events, making it all in one gaming machine.

You will also be able to stream games through the browser from other platforms like Google stadia because it is built on chromium which means that there will be the addition in playing Xbox games on your console. If you use Skype or discord for communication, then it will help make web-based services much better.

The Xbox is being tested in the alpha skip ahead, which means not everyone will make it for a spin. Still, it won’t take too long for Microsoft to launch it in public, hopefully.
