Tesla light shows are real, and there’s video evidence to showcase them.
Hosted by the Tesla Club Finland at a racetrack located in Espoo, just west of Helsinki, the event featured 902 Teslas, captivating thousands of attendees with a stunning array of lights and colors synchronized to a variety of music tracks.
Much like drone performances but using much larger vehicles that remain stationary, a Tesla light show employs its headlights, fog lights, turn signals, tail lights, and other flashing elements to create a visually synchronized spectacle.
How did they achieve such perfect choreography for the display, you might wonder?
Forget the idea of 902 Tesla drivers inside their vehicles struggling to flick switches in time with the music. In fact, models like the Tesla Model 3, Model Y, Model S (2021 and later), Model X (2021 and later), and Cybertruck come equipped with a feature called the Tesla Light Show. This functionality allows the cars to perform synchronized displays, with lights that are programmed to match the rhythm and beats of the music.
Tesla offers a standard light show feature for owners to experiment with, while custom light shows or community-generated options—like the one in Finland—are also available. The Tesla Light Show serves as an innovative way for the company to demonstrate the technological capabilities of its vehicles, all while delivering a fun, quirky experience for both owners and onlookers.
Last year, Digital Trends reported on a smaller light show involving Tesla’s new Cybertruck, which even illuminated its front trunk in vibrant colors to enhance the visual effects.
