The recent leadership shifts at Samsung have reportedly postponed the release of its highly anticipated super-slim smartphone. Initially, the Galaxy S25 Edge was slated for a launch around mid-April; however, this timeline has now been delayed by several weeks.
A report from Korea’s ET News indicates that the launch event has been rescheduled to sometime between May and June. According to the article, this information has also been communicated to the three major mobile carriers set to offer the Galaxy S25 Edge.
An insider mentioned in the report suggests that, because of the delayed launch, the device’s availability for purchase may take even longer. Importantly, it was clarified that the postponement is not due to any quality issues with the smartphone.

In related news, Google announced a delay in the release of its budget-friendly Pixel 9a smartphone due to performance issues with its components. According to DigiTimes, the company had to revise nearly 500,000 units to address undisclosed concerns.
What to Expect?
The Galaxy S25 Edge is anticipated to feature a durable titanium construction, powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. With an impressively slim design measuring just 5.8mm, it is expected to showcase a 6.7-inch OLED display, supported by a compact 3,786 mAh battery.

Leaks suggest that the Galaxy S25 Edge will incorporate a larger vapor chamber cooling system than its counterpart, the Galaxy S25. Despite its slim profile, it may impress consumers with a powerful 200-megapixel primary camera alongside a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens.
As for pricing, recent reports from South Korea indicate a cost of approximately KRW 1.5 million, translating to roughly $1,020. This would position the S25 Edge between the Galaxy S25 Plus and the high-end Ultra model.
