Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow has unveiled a new logo and potentially a revised title.
David Krumholtz, cast as Supergirl’s father Zor-El, shared a photo of his director’s chair on his Instagram profile. He has recently wrapped up filming his scenes for the DC Universe feature.
Krumholtz expressed his excitement in the caption, stating, “Wrapped! Incredible experience working on #Supergirl with @millyalcock and @emily_beecham. Thanks to Craig Gillespie, Peter Safran, @jamesgunn, and a fantastic London-based cast and crew!” “

The newly revealed logo features just the title Supergirl, omitting Woman of Tomorrow.
This wouldn’t be the first instance of a DC film shortening its title; for example, James Gunn’s superhero film featuring Superman was initially introduced as Superman: Legacy before the title was simplified to just Superman. Gunn clarified this change, indicating it became evident the simpler title was more appropriate after he finalized the script.
“When I finished the first draft of the script, I named the film Superman: Legacy,” Gunn noted on Instagram. “However, as I locked in the final draft, it was clear the title should simply be Superman. We’re excited to bring it to you in July 2025.”
Milly Alcock will portray Kara Zor-El/Supergirl, who possesses powers similar to those of her cousin, Superman. The narrative follows a 21-year-old Kara Zor-El as she navigates adventures with Krypto the Superdog and a young girl named Ruthye, embarking on a quest for vengeance.
The cast of Supergirl includes Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem of the Yellow Hills, Eve Ridley as Ruthye Marye Knoll, Krumholtz as Zor-El, and Emily Beecham as Alura In-Ze. Jason Momoa is set to join the franchise as Lobo, the fierce alien mercenary.
Alcock will make a brief appearance in Superman, scheduled for release on July 11. This film will kick off Gunn’s new DC Universe alongside Peter Safran, as part of Chapter One: Gods and Monsters.
Directed by Craig Gillespie and penned by Ana Nogueira, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is set to hit theaters on June 26.
