Steven Spielberg Loves PC Gaming Discover His Passion

Steven Spielberg’s accolades are nothing short of impressive: three Academy Awards, two BAFTAs, four Golden Globes, an AFI Life Achievement Award, and honors from both the Kennedy Center and the President of the United States. Among this extensive list of achievements lies a lesser-known passion: gaming.

Max Spielberg, co-founder and creative director of the video game company FuzzyBot, is the son of the renowned director. In a recent interview, Max shared insights about his father’s enthusiasm for gaming, especially when it comes to a popular military video game series.

“He [Steven] is quite the gamer. He actually got me into it,” Max mentioned during his conversation with MinnMax. “He enjoys games, particularly on PC. It’s a great way for us to bond. He often asks, ‘What’s good right now? What shooters should I check out?’ He tells me to send him a list of top five shooters so he can download them for our next gaming session at home.”

Max went on to highlight his father’s favorite games, stating, “He’s a fan of Call of Duty and really enjoys the campaigns.”

It’s no surprise that Spielberg is devoted to Call of Duty, considering his work on one of cinema’s most acclaimed war films, Saving Private Ryan. He is also the creative force behind beloved franchises like Indiana Jones. However, Spielberg has a strong preference for PC gaming.

“He enjoys narrative-driven games, and I’ve been trying to get him to try Uncharted. I keep telling him it’s like Indiana Jones, and he’d love it,” Max explained. “But he insists he can only play with a keyboard and mouse, not a controller.”

With Spielberg’s deep appreciation for the franchise, one might argue that he would be an ideal candidate to create the long-anticipated Call of Duty film.
