The much-anticipated crossover DLC for Stellar Blade and Nier: Automata is set to drop on November 20, featuring exclusive items for players to enjoy.

According to a recent post on the PlayStation Blog, gamers will have the opportunity to visit a shop run by Emil—an enigmatic, stone-faced merchant who bears a resemblance to the mask famously worn by Yoko Taro, the creative mind behind Nier: Automata. This shop will offer 11 new items, which are expected to include various familiar outfits.

Video game crossovers have become a familiar occurrence, yet this collaboration feels particularly fitting. Stellar Blade draws significant inspiration from Nier: Automata, and it’s easy to see the parallels, from their fantasy-infused post-apocalyptic worlds to their high-octane combat styles and stylish female leads.

Nier: Automata made a profound impact on me,” shared Stellar Blade developer Kim Hyung-tae in an interview with IGN before the launch. “It opened my eyes to the possibilities of game development and helped me reconnect with the type of games I aspire to create.”

Each major update for Stellar Blade has introduced new costumes for Eve, its main character, and the aesthetic of Nier: Automata fits seamlessly into this universe.

The upcoming update will also introduce new poses for the photo mode, four additional costumes, and an accessory called Symbol of Legacy, which alters the visual representation of the Tachy Mode—an advanced skill tree players unlock later in the game. Other minor improvements include lip-sync support for six additional languages, a feature to select music while at camp, auto-targeting for instant kills, and a new “No Ponytail” customization option.
