Your favorite web-slinger, Spider-Man, is set to swing back into cinemas on July 24, 2026.
On Friday, Sony confirmed that Tom Holland will reprise his role in Spider-Man 4. The film will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, with a script penned by the writers of No Way Home, Erik Sommers and Chris McKenna. Marvel’s Kevin Feige and Sony’s Amy Pascal will lead the production team.
Just days ago, Holland shared his excitement about Spider-Man 4 during a guest appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. He revealed that filming is set to start next summer.
“It’s happening,” Holland exclaimed to Fallon. “We kick off shooting next summer. Everything is all set. I’m super excited, and I can’t wait.”
Holland is currently engaged in a promotional tour for his non-alcoholic beer brand, Bero, but the press events have turned into a platform for Spider-Man 4 updates. In a recent interview with Good Morning America, he hinted at thrilling developments for Spider-Man.
“The concept is wild,” he disclosed. “It’s quite different from what we’ve done previously, but I believe fans are going to respond very positively.”
The summer of 2026 promises to be a big one for Holland. Just a week before Spider-Man 4 premieres, he will appear alongside Matt Damon in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film, which is set to hit theaters in IMAX on July 17, 2026. Timing will be crucial for both films, and it wouldn’t be surprising if one of them changed its release date to avoid competition.
Before his solo adventure in Spider-Man 4, Holland is expected to show up in the next Avengers installment, though his role hasn’t been officially confirmed. Directed by the Russo Brothers, Avengers: Doomsday is slated for release on May 1, 2026. The prospect of Holland’s Spider-Man facing off against Doctor Doom, portrayed by Robert Downey Jr., is particularly exciting for fans.
