Samsung's New Camera App Makes You Feel Like Ansel Adams

In light of the recent news regarding the postponement of Samsung’s One UI 7 until early 2025, there’s a silver lining for users eagerly awaiting the update. The upcoming version will feature a revamped camera app designed to enhance convenience for one-handed photo-taking.

User SamMobile has created a video showcasing his hands-on testing of One UI 7, which includes insightful details about the new camera app. In the video, he dives into the improvements around the five-minute mark, offering a closer look at several key features.

The most notable modification involves repositioning the viewfinder settings to the bottom of the screen. This makes it significantly easier to access various controls while taking pictures with one hand. Users will appreciate the new carousel layout, which allows for seamless scrolling through different options without needing to stretch their fingers awkwardly. Whether it’s toggling the flash or adjusting the aspect ratio, these tasks can now be accomplished swiftly without having to navigate through complex menus.

The app is also set to automatically display relevant settings based on the camera mode selected. While these changes were hinted at in earlier leaked screenshots, the video provides a much clearer insight into how the app will function.

Keep in mind, however, that Samsung has not yet launched the One UI 7.0 Beta, meaning the final iteration of the camera app may undergo further modifications before its official release next year. Regardless, the exciting new features promised in this updated interface suggest that it will be well worth the wait.
