Samsung launched its beta test program for One UI 7, based on Android 15, back in December. Until now, it has only been available on a select number of devices, and a final release date seemed elusive. However, today’s announcement has changed that situation.
The company has revealed that the stable version of One UI 7 is set to launch in April. Additionally, starting tomorrow, more devices will be welcomed into the beta testing phase for users located in India, South Korea, the UK, and the US.
Initially, testing began exclusively with the Galaxy S24 series, and since then, several incremental software builds have been released. Now, Samsung is finally bringing its latest foldable devices—the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6—into the testing lineup.
Furthermore, the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Tab S10 tablets, and the Galaxy A55 will also join the One UI 7 beta testing program within the next month.
What’s New in One UI 7?

One UI 7 serves as Samsung’s platform for integrating its Galaxy AI features into smartphones. It introduces various new capabilities, such as Writing Assist, which is akin to Apple’s Writing Tools. This feature operates at a system level, facilitating text summarization, format changes, proofreading, and more.
Another exciting addition is the call transcript feature that automatically records and transcribes conversations. The Now Bar provides a quick glance at relevant activities like music playback and recording, available directly from the Lock Screen.
Samsung has also revamped the Home Screen, enhanced the Lock Screen experience, and updated widgets and the camera application’s interface. A new zoom speed control feature for the Pro mode in the camera app ensures smoother transitions when zooming.

A newly designed security dashboard allows users to monitor the safety status of their connected devices, offering actionable tips and relevant alerts. Additionally, when the device is locked, USB access is blocked, and unknown locations can trigger a biometric lock.
In terms of device compatibility, Galaxy S21 and newer models will receive the update, including foldable phones dating back to the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3. A selection of devices from the Galaxy-A, Galaxy-M, and Galaxy-F series will also be included in the upgrade schedule.
