Samsung has come under scrutiny for the significant delays in rolling out One UI 7. Months after the release of Android 15, the company is still addressing issues in One UI 7 for the Galaxy S24 series. However, recent reports indicate that beta testing might soon expand to include other devices, particularly last-generation foldable models.
In the wake of the Galaxy S24 series, Samsung appears to have begun beta testing One UI 7 for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6. Tipster Tarun Vats recently shared screenshots that suggest the firmware builds are being evaluated internally before Samsung officially launches a beta program for these foldable devices.

The serial numbers in the screenshot suggest that these builds are intended for devices sold exclusively in Europe and India. This could mean that Samsung is initially testing the beta versions in these regions, leaving the U.S. out for now. Meanwhile, another beta update for the Galaxy S24 series is on the horizon.
If confirmed, this would make the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 the only devices aside from the Galaxy S24 to access the One UI 7 beta. Additionally, Samsung has created dedicated pages in its One UI beta forums for these models, lending further credibility to the upcoming release.
Currently, there don’t appear to be any active test builds for previous flagship models like the Galaxy S23 and the Fold/Flip 5. This suggests that a stable One UI 7 release for older devices may still be some months away.
Potential One UI 7 Update Timeline

Furthermore, a less credible rumor from a user on X claims to have details about a timeline for the One UI 7 update for a range of Samsung devices. Allegedly gleaned from an internal meeting for partners or employees in Romania, the leak suggests that the Galaxy S24 series could receive a stable One UI 7 update as early as the third week of April. The Galaxy S23, Z Fold 6, Z Fold 5, Z Flip 6, and Z Flip 5 are mentioned to follow a week later.
While the leaker seems confident, we approach this information with caution due to their lack of proven reliability. If true, it would be interesting to see Samsung attempt a broad rollout without comprehensive testing on older models.
However, this contradicts Samsung’s earlier promise of delivering One UI 7 for the Galaxy S series by the end of the first quarter of this year. With only a month remaining until that deadline, the lack of updates or confirmations from Samsung has increased user frustration. Many are hoping for some clarity soon.
