The trailer for season 2 of Poker Face features Natasha Lyonne reprising her role as Charlie Cale, a woman with an uncanny ability to spot dishonesty.
In the trailer, Charlie reflects, “Maybe I’m figuring out how to finally start enjoying this journey.” As she journeys in her Plymouth Barracuda, she finds herself embroiled in a new mystery at each destination. Whether she likes it or not, Charlie has an irresistible urge to investigate these crimes, showcasing her unique talents. This season, viewers will explore fresh locales such as a minor league baseball park, an alligator farm, a funeral home, and the scene of a school talent show.
With a hint of confidence, Charlie declares, “No one’s fooled me yet.”
Season 2 promises a fresh slate of captivating adventures, bolstered by a star-studded lineup of guest appearances. Joining the show this season are Cynthia Erivo, Giancarlo Esposito, Katie Holmes, John Mulaney, Kumail Nanjiani, Rhea Perlman, John Cho, Alia Shawkat, Justin Theroux, Simon Helberg, Taylor Schilling, Melanie Lynskey, Patti Harrison, Awkwafina, Cliff “Method Man” Smith, David Alan Grier, Sam Richardson, Simon Rex, Carol Kane, Richard Kind, Haley Joel Osment, Adrienne C. Moore, Gata, Margo Martindale, Jasmine Guy, Kevin Corrigan, and David Krumholtz.
Additionally, Ben Marshall, B.J. Novak, Corey Hawkins, Ego Nwodim, Gaby Hoffmann, Geraldine Viswanathan, Jason Ritter, Kathrine Narducci, Lauren Tom, Lili Taylor, Natasha Leggero, and Sherry Cola will also lend their talents as guest stars. Interestingly, the show even includes animal cameos, featuring Daisy the alligator and Joseph the gerbil.
Created by Rian Johnson, known for his work on Knives Out, Poker Face welcomes Tony Tost as the showrunner for its second season, taking over from Nora and Lilla Zuckerman. Johnson and Lyonne have contributed by writing and directing several episodes this season, along with executive producers Ram Bergman, Nena Rodrigue, Adam Arkin, and the Zuckermans.
Fans can catch season 2 of Poker Face streaming on Peacock starting May 8, with a total of 12 episodes in the season.
