The battle for supremacy in Gotham intensifies in the latest midseason preview of The Penguin.

The trailer opens with Oz posing a provocative question: “So who holds the reins in this town?” On one side stands Sofia Falcone (Cristin Milioti), the newly appointed leader of her family following the tragic losses of her father and brother. The visuals showcase Sofia assembling a team to bolster the Falcone crime syndicate. Meanwhile, Salvatore Maroni (Clancy Brown), determined to reclaim Gotham, seeks vengeance against the Falcones after being incarcerated due to their machinations.

At the forefront of this criminal conflict is Oz Cobb (Colin Farrell), also known as the Penguin, who is strategizing to ascend as Gotham’s top crime boss. However, Sofia is aware that Oz was responsible for her brother Alberto’s (Michael Zegen) death, and she appears to be setting her sights on his mother, Francis (Deirdre O’Connell), and his romantic partner, Eve (Carmen Ejogo).

“If we eliminate Oz, we seize control of the city,” Sofia asserts as the footage escalates into chaotic fervor.

The Penguin has proven to be a major hit for HBO, boasting 5.3 million viewers across HBO and Max during its premiere—marking the largest debut for a series since The Last of Us in January 2023. The fourth episode, titled Cent’Anni, achieved the highest IMDB rating for the series with a score of 9.5.
