If you’re eager to get your hands on the OnePlus Watch 3, you might have to exercise a bit more patience due to an unforeseen hiccup. Today’s launch of this highly anticipated smartwatch has been delayed because the initial batch has a typographical error that requires correction.
As per a statement from OnePlus, the early models mistakenly have “Meda in China” inscribed on the back of the watch’s casing, rather than the correct phrase “Made in China.” Consequently, the smartwatch will not be available for purchase until sometime in April.

We’ve had the opportunity to review the OnePlus Watch 3, which showcases several enhancements compared to its predecessor, the Watch 2. Our review unit also bears the “Meda in China” printing error on its back.
The OnePlus Watch 3 boasts a more refined look, featuring a titanium alloy bezel and a slightly larger case at 46.6mm, compared to the 46mm size of the previous version. It is also marginally thinner, equipped with an upgraded LTPO AMOLED display that reaches a peak brightness of 2200 nits. Additionally, the watch incorporates a functional rotating crown, facilitating easier navigation and interaction with the software.
Furthermore, the new model includes an improved PPG sensor and LED design that enhance heart rate monitoring accuracy. A novel “360 Mind and Body” feature is also introduced for a comprehensive approach to health insights.
It seems unlikely that the “Mede in China” versions of the Watch 3 will ever hit the market, and it’s unclear just how many of these units were produced. Might they show up on sites like eBay at inflated prices? Only time will tell.
The OnePlus Watch 3, priced at $329, remains available for pre-order on the OnePlus website, where the company is currently offering a $50 discount—an offer that predates the announcement of the delay.
