Next-Gen Macs With M4 Silicon May Arrive In November

The long-awaited arrival of M4 generation Macs is just around the corner, set to launch by the end of this month. As reported by Bloomberg, Apple is planning to roll out a new lineup of Macs featuring the M4 silicon, starting November 1.

Leading the new releases is the Mac Mini, which is expected to come in versions powered by the M4 and M4 Pro chips. This model is generating excitement as previous reports suggest a long-overdue redesign.

The new Mac Mini is rumored to be significantly smaller than its predecessor, coming close to the size of an Apple TV streaming device. While it will be more compact, it may be slightly taller than the previous version.

While experimenting with different hardware designs, Apple has reportedly tested a version featuring three USB Type-C ports, unlike the current M2 model that has two Thunderbolt 4 Type-C ports and two USB Type-A ports.

The M4 chip, which currently powers the 2024 iPad Pro models, boasts four performance cores, six efficiency cores, and a 10-core GPU. The Pro version is likely to contain additional CPU and GPU cores, following Apple’s historical patterns.

Beyond the Mac Mini, there are also expectations for a “low-end 14-inch MacBook Pro with M4 chip,” along with major upgrades for the premium 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro versions.

In an interesting turn of events, a Russian YouTuber has posted a full unboxing and hands-on video showcasing the unannounced M4 MacBook Pro. The footage reveals a familiar design, a 10-core CPU paired with a 10-core GPU configuration for the M4 chip, along with an HDMI port, an SD card slot, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage.

Additionally, Apple is expected to unveil a refreshed iMac. Although no new sizes are anticipated, the design will likely maintain its familiar look with some new color options. However, not all of these products may be launched simultaneously, indicating a potential staggered rollout in the market.
