Motorola Begins Android 15 Beta Updates For Some Phones
Those who prefer Android can finally rejoice. The highly anticipated Android 15 has arrived and is being distributed to eligible smartphones. The launch was expected; we mentioned its rollout to Pixel devices just yesterday, and Motorola had already indicated that numerous models would receive the update.

As reported by GSMArena, select users are now noticing the Android 15 beta on the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion, and it’s anticipated that this update will soon reach other models in the Edge 50 series. While these devices are currently receiving the beta version, the complete rollout for these handsets is expected, potentially by the year’s end, assuming this update serves as a stability test for the operating system.

Unfortunately, some Motorola enthusiasts may find themselves disappointed. Numerous models, including the newer Moto G Power (2023) and the Moto G Stylus (2023), will not be eligible for Android 15. Given Motorola’s wide array of devices, there is a slight chance that other models omitted from the list may still receive the update, though it would be wise not to get your hopes up.

This marks a significant shift in Motorola’s usual practices. Traditionally, the company hasn’t been recognized for leading the charge in technology advancements, but its recent actions are beginning to change that narrative. Not only is Motorola quicker in adopting the Android 15 beta than anticipated, but it is also venturing into the realm of artificial intelligence with its Moto AI initiative.

It’s evident that Motorola is aiming to regain its status as a key player in the smartphone market. With the momentum gained from the Razr series, the company could be poised for an impressive year ahead in 2025.
