Kicking off the month is Max’s first original film, Salem’s Lot, which marks the inaugural feature film adaptation of Stephen King’s revolutionary novel from 1975. This adaptation features Lewis Pullman in the role of Ben Mears, an author who returns to his childhood home only to uncover a relentless vampire terrorizing the town. Directed by Gary Dauberman, known for his work on Annabelle, Salem’s Lot debuts on Max on October 3.

Another original film, Caddo Lake, premieres on October 10. Directed by Celine Held and Logan George, this gripping tale revolves around the mysterious disappearance of an eight-year-old girl, unveiling a nexus of past tragedies and disappearances that redefine a fractured family’s history. The film stars Dylan O’Brien, Eliza Scanlen, Lauren Ambrose, Eric Lange, and Sam Hennings.

M. Night Shyamalan’s latest thriller, Trap, arrives on Max on October 25. In Trap, Josh Hartnett portrays Cooper, a firefighter who leads a secret life as a serial killer known as “The Butcher.” When he takes his daughter to a concert, he learns that the FBI has orchestrated the event to capture him.
