LG has introduced the Smart Monitor Swing, an innovative mobile display that features a 31.5-inch 4K UHD IPS touchscreen paired with a stand equipped with built-in wheels. Tailored for individuals who value portability, the Swing serves as a successor to LG’s StanbyME portable screen.
In contrast to the StanbyME, the Swing lacks an internal battery and instead relies on a dedicated power adapter. This design choice might be limiting, as users will have to contend with the length of the power cord.
As indicated in the demo video, the monitor and its stand can be easily assembled or disassembled at the touch of a button. The display is attached to a fully articulating arm that allows for tilting, swiveling, and rotation into portrait mode. This versatility makes it suitable for various functions, whether as a vertical dashboard for productivity applications or as a horizontal entertainment hub.

Operating on webOS, the Smart Monitor Swing doesn’t necessitate a PC for operation. Users have the ability to install applications directly onto the monitor, stream content, participate in video calls, or browse the internet, all through the included remote or touchscreen functionalities.
The monitor is fitted with three USB-C ports, providing up to 65W of power delivery along with two HDMI ports for connectivity to laptops, gaming consoles, or other devices. Additionally, built-in stereo speakers are included, minimizing the need for external audio equipment in most situations.

LG positions the Smart Monitor Swing as an ideal solution for content creators, digital signage users, hybrid workers, and anyone seeking a flexible and clutter-free workspace. It features cable management capabilities and a concealed power adapter compartment within the stand’s base for a streamlined appearance.

Currently, LG has not announced plans for a global release. However, reports indicate that the Smart Monitor Swing will launch in South Korea on April 24 through LG’s official online store, priced at 1,049,000 Won, or roughly $740 USD.
