A new adventure through time is on the horizon in the latest teaser for Doctor Who season 2.
Ncuti Gatwa reprises his role as the Doctor, the alien Time Lord who navigates the universe aboard the time-traveling ship known as the TARDIS. This season, the Doctor teams up with Belinda Chandra (played by Varada Sethu), a woman eager to make her way back to Earth. Unfortunately, the TARDIS starts to malfunction when an unknown force interferes with her journey home.
Along the way, they enjoy a lively time at the 803rd Interstellar Song Contest and make history as they transform into animated characters for the first time in the series.
“Our entire reality is at risk,” the Doctor declares, assuring Belinda that he will get her home safe and sound.
Joining the cast is Millie Gibson as Ruby Sunday, the Doctor’s faithful companion. The guest lineup for this season includes Rose Ayling-Ellis, Christopher Chung, Rylan Clark, Alan Cumming, Anita Dobson, Freddie Fox, Michelle Greenidge, Jonah Hauer-King, Ruth Madeley, Jemma Redgrave, and Susan Twist.
Disney+ has announced the episode titles for season 2, which include Space Babies, The Devil’s Chord, Boom, 73 Yards, Dot and Bubble, Rogue, The Legend of Ruby Sunday, and Empire of Death.

Russell T. Davies serves as the showrunner, as well as an executive producer and writer. Other executive producers include Joel Collins, Phil Collinson, Julie Gardner, and Jane Tranter.
This season marks the 41st overall of Doctor Who and the 15th since its revival in 2005. It is Gatwa’s second full season as the Doctor, following his initial appearance in the 2023 Christmas special, The Church on Ruby Road.
Fans can catch the new season of Doctor Who starting at 3 a.m. EDT on Saturday, April 12, on Disney+. In the U.K., viewers can enjoy the eight-episode season on BBC and BBC iPlayer, with new episodes releasing weekly.
