Note: Spoilers for Agatha All Along are included in this post.
Introducing Billy Maximoff! In the latest episode of Agatha All Along, Joe Locke’s character was unveiled as Billy, the son of Wanda Maximoff, also known as Wiccan. The younger version of Billy was played by Julian Hilliard in WandaVision.
This shocking twist occurred at the episode’s conclusion when Billy used his powers to send Agatha (played by Kathryn Hahn), Lilia Calderu (portrayed by Patti LuPone), and Jennifer Hale (Sasheer Zamata) into a mud pit, just moments after Agatha eliminated a member of their crew. A blue crown, reminiscent of the Scarlet Witch’s iconic red crown, materialized atop Billy’s head.

Locke has been aware of his character’s secret for two years, stating to Entertainment Weekly that he finally feels a sense of relief now that the truth about his character is out. He expressed that the series is about to get intense.
“At the beginning, Billy plays a familiar role, a sidekick to the witches,” Locke explained to EW. “Knowing he’s also a witch changes everything. He now has the power to pose a threat, making him the most formidable character in the group. What does this mean for the dynamics of their relationships and their future?”
Locke now also stands out as the most prominent LGBTQ+ character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The midseason trailer for Agatha All Along confirms the reveal about Billy Maximoff and teases the remaining episodes of the series. Billy’s true motivations for joining the group will be explored in the upcoming episodes.
