Images of Italy’s Olympic swimming champion Thomas Ceccon, known as ‘The Shark,’ sleeping in a park have taken the internet by storm.
In an unusual incident involving Olympic organizers, the gold medalist had to find rest in a Paris park.
The photo shows Thomas lying on a towel on the grass next to a bench, seeking some peaceful sleep. The picture was shared by fellow athlete Husein Alireza from Team Saudi.
Husein posted the photo on Instagram with the caption: “Rest today, conquer tomorrow” on Saturday, tagging the Olympic Village’s St. Denis location.
Husein mentioned that Thomas had just won the gold medal in the men’s 100m backstroke.
