Recently, Huawei, a prominent player in the field of information and communications technology (ICT), organized the Kuwait leg of its Middle East & Central Asia (ME&CA) Commercial Roadshow at the St. Regis Kuwait. This event highlighted the latest innovations the company has developed to empower essential sectors within Kuwait.

According to projections from the International Data Corporation (IDC), spending on ICT in Kuwait is anticipated to surpass $5.5 billion by 2024. Huawei has built a strong partnership with local governments and businesses over the past ten years, solidifying its role as a vital ally in the region. The roadshow reaffirms the company’s steadfast dedication to facilitating Kuwait’s digital transformation in line with Kuwait Vision 2035, which outlines the nation’s ambitions for leveraging smart and digital technologies to improve services and operational efficiencies across critical sectors.

The event attracted influential leaders from various industries, including education, healthcare, real estate, and finance, along with telecommunications providers, integrators, and consulting firms. Participants were offered a chance to engage with pioneering ICT solutions tailored for their fields while discussing strategies for commercial market growth. In his keynote speech, Mr. Jeff Zhu, the CEO of Huawei Kuwait, underscored the critical nature of digital transformation for the country. The company also introduced a holistic array of offerings for government entities, featuring intelligent office systems, campus networks, and lightweight data centers based on DCN technology.

The Huawei Smart Education Solution offers a robust network infrastructure paired with secure data centers and smart classroom technologies, while the Huawei Smart Healthcare Solution encapsulates smart wards, advanced medical imaging, and hospital networking solutions. The Huawei Intelligent Real Estate Solution incorporates Fiber To The Office (FTTO) technologies, and the Huawei Intelligent Finance Solution includes secure networking and storage options.

At the Huawei ME&CA Commercial Roadshow, the company also introduced the HUAWEI eKit, a transformative platform designed for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). In addition, Huawei collaborated with Zain to create an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Center of Excellence, emphasizing its dedication to nurturing the telecommunications sector in the nation. Moreover, during the regional finals of Huawei’s Seeds for the Future 2024 competition, Kuwaiti students achieved first place, earning a place in the global Tech4Good competition.
