Initially, there were reports suggesting that the update might be delayed, but Google has opted to release it in mid-October to enhance system stability.

The release notes for the Android Beta Exit update have been revised, advising users to disregard any Android 14 downgrade over-the-air (OTA) updates until the stable version of Android 15 is made available.

Independent Android platform developers are expected to receive the Android 15 source code next week to begin development and adaptation processes.

The update will be available for a range of Pixel devices, including the Pixel 6, 7, 8, and 9 series, along with their derivatives like the Pixel Tablet and Pixel Fold.
