DJI Air 3S Drone Has 42GB Storage And Easier Night Flights

Introducing DJI Air 3S

DJI has officially launched the Air 3S, marking its first new drone release since the introduction of the Neo beginner model last September.

The Air 3S enhances the features of the Air 3, providing adventurers an excellent way to capture stunning aerial imagery wherever they go. This latest quadcopter is equipped with a 1-inch CMOS sensor boasting 50 megapixels, coupled with a 24mm lens that supports stunning 4K/60fps HDR recording and 4K/120fps video. Additionally, it is outfitted with a 48-megapixel medium telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom capabilities.

This drone includes omnidirectional obstacle detection through six vision sensors, becoming the first DJI drone with forward-facing LiDAR technology. Its advanced nightscape obstacle sensing feature offers users added assurance when flying in lower light conditions.

The foldable Air 3S incorporates DJI’s ActiveTrack, allowing 360-degree flight that keeps the subject in focus. It also comes with a new Subject Focusing feature to maintain clarity on the target, even when it moves off-center, allowing operators to focus on perfecting aspects like composition and camera movements.

Flight enthusiasts can enjoy an impressive 45 minutes of airtime from a single charge of the rechargeable Air 3S battery. All captured content is stored on the remarkable 42GB of built-in memory, the most extensive storage available on any DJI consumer drone.

DJI executive Ferdinand Wolf commented, “The DJI Air 3S elevates our Air Series with professional capabilities such as dual primary cameras and comprehensive obstacle avoidance, all while maintaining a lightweight design of just 724 grams (1.6 pounds) for unparalleled freedom and versatility. This drone is an ideal companion for travel photography, effortlessly capturing precious moments while ensuring safety during nighttime operations.”

The DJI Air 3S is now available for purchase on the company’s website, starting at $1,099 for the drone alone. The Air 3S Fly More Combo, which includes additional accessories, is priced at $1,399, while the Fly More Combo featuring the DJI RC 2 controller is available for $1,599.
