In the newly released trailer for *The Accountant 2*, Ben Affleck teams up with Jon Bernthal, presenting a compelling brotherly dynamic.
Following the events of the original film, Christian Wolff (played by Affleck) is seen traversing the nation in his Airstream trailer. His attempts at speed dating take a comical turn, underscoring the struggles of social interaction for the brilliant mathematician. Known as The Accountant, he continues to apply his exceptional skills to facilitate money laundering for some of the most notorious criminals worldwide.
Tragedy strikes when Raymond King (J.K. Simmons), Christian’s former contact at the Treasury Department, is found murdered. Mysteriously, “Find the Accountant” is inscribed on his arm. In a twist of fate, U.S. Treasury Deputy Director Marybeth Medina (Cynthia Addai-Robinson) enlists Christian to solve the murder and track down King’s killers.
This investigation will require more than just analytical skills. To assist him, Christian turns to his brother, Braxton (Jon Bernthal), who is depicted as a highly skilled mercenary. Together, the siblings delve into a web of assassins that need to be eliminated. The action-filled trailer culminates in an intense sequence where Christian and Brax carry out a coordinated ambush, leaving a trail of destruction behind.
Joining the cast are Daniella Pineda and Allison Robertson.
