Amazon and Apple have unveiled that the Apple TV+ streaming platform will be accessible through Prime Video later this month. The subscription fee remains unchanged at $9.99 per month, allowing viewers to enjoy the same content available via other Apple TV+ platforms.
Eddy Cue, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Services, stated in a blog post, “Our goal is to make Apple TV+ and its award-winning lineup of series and films from the best storytellers in the world available to a wide audience. We’re excited to have Prime Video offer Apple TV+, providing viewers with an extensive range of viewing choices.”
Apple TV+ boasts a diverse array of original programming, including popular titles such as Ted Lasso, Silo, Slow Horses, The Morning Show, and Severance. In addition to series, it features original films like Killers of the Flower Moon and Wolfs. The platform is also the exclusive host of MLS Season Pass, providing access to every Major League Soccer game throughout the season, along with MLS NEXT and MLS NEXT Pro.
The inclusion of Apple TV+ enhances the variety of subscription options available through Prime Video, joining platforms such as Max, STARZ, Paramount+, and AMC+, among others. Amazon Prime Video recently underwent a significant redesign, making this a perfect opportunity to explore the latest offerings from Apple TV+.
Mike Hopkins, Senior Vice President and Head of Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios, remarked, “Prime Video serves as a primary entertainment hub featuring a wide array of premium content including Amazon MGM Studios Originals, live sports, popular films, and series, along with the largest collection of titles available for rent or purchase, plus over 100 additional streaming subscriptions. We are thrilled to introduce Apple TV+ and its highly regarded shows, films, and events to our platform, making it easier for customers to tailor their streaming experience all in one app.”
