Apple Store Is Down Here’s Why You Can’t Access It

The online Apple Store is currently offline in anticipation of the “It’s Glowtime” event happening today. While the store continues to showcase items that may soon be phased out, like the iPhone 15 Pro lineup and Apple Watch Series 9, purchases are no longer possible. These devices are expected to be replaced by newer releases, which will soon be open for preorder.

Instead of a standard “Buy” button, a message reads: “Be right back. We’re making updates to the Apple Store. Check back soon.”

Apple’s major announcement event is set to kick off at 10 a.m. PT, featuring the launch of the iPhone 16 series, Apple Watch Series 10, and potentially new iPad models. Attendees can also look forward to updates regarding the release dates for iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and watchOS 11 during this event.

In the lead-up to Apple events, the company typically takes its online store offline to halt new orders. It usually returns online a few hours after the event concludes, showcasing all the latest products.

During the event, Apple is poised to unveil the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Max. There’s speculation about a new iPhone SE, but it seems less likely to be announced at this time. While the debut of the Apple Watch Series 10 is anticipated, another Apple Watch Ultra reveal may not happen. We can also expect to hear about the next generation of iPads, including iPad Mini, as well as new AirPods models, later today.

You can watch the event live through the Apple website, Apple TV, YouTube, and X (formerly Twitter). If you can’t catch it live, you’ll have the option to stream it later on any of these platforms.
