The latest trailer for From the World of John Wick: Ballerina makes it clear that there are rules—and they come with serious consequences. For Ana de Armas, who portrays Eve Macarro, one of those consequences leads to an intense confrontation with John Wick, played by Keanu Reeves.
Set during the timeline of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, Eve is a ballerina on a dual path to becoming a skilled assassin, delving into the rich traditions of the Ruska Roma crime family. Motivated by vengeance, she is determined to track down the killers of her family. Her quest takes her to the Continental Hotel in New York, where she seeks guidance from Winston Scott (Ian McShane). “Are you ready to be cast out again?” Winston challenges her, to which she confidently replies, “Yes.”
This action-filled trailer showcases Eve’s evolution as she climbs the ranks through a series of thrilling shootouts and fights. However, before she can exact her revenge, she encounters the infamous Baba Yaga himself. John Wick presents Eve with an option to walk away, and in a bold move, she retaliates by firing her weapon, igniting a fierce one-on-one battle between them.
Returning to their roles from previous entries in the franchise are Anjelica Huston as the Director and the late Lance Reddick as Charon. The film also features a talented cast including Gabriel Byrne, Norman Reedus, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, and David Castañeda.

Directed by Len Wiseman and scripted by Shay Hatten, Ballerina is produced by Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee, and Chad Stahelski, who was brought on to manage reshoots and reportedly ended up filming an entirely separate version of the movie.
Ballerina marks the first spinoff in the John Wick franchise, following The Continental: From the World of John Wick, which premiered on Peacock in September 2023 and introduced the backstory of Winston Scott.
You can catch Ballerina in theaters starting June 6, 2025.
