If you’ve noticed that Siri isn’t speaking to you after an update, you’re not alone! Many users have reported that the virtual assistant has gone silent, with only the Apple Intelligence search bar appearing. Don’t worry; this is a common issue, and there are a few steps you can take to restore Siri’s voice responses.

Here’s a quick guide to getting Siri to talk to you again:

1. Check Your Settings:
First, make sure that Siri’s voice settings are enabled.

  • Go to Settings on your iPhone or iPad.
  • Scroll down and tap on Siri & Search.
  • Make sure Listen for ‘Hey Siri’ and Press Side Button for Siri are enabled.
  • Then, check the option Voice Feedback and select "Always On". This will ensure that Siri responds verbally.

2. Restart Your Device:
Sometimes, a simple restart can fix many issues.

  • Press and hold the power button until you see the option to power off.
  • Slide to turn off your device, then turn it back on after a few seconds.

3. Update Your Device:
If you have an available update, it might be worth installing it to resolve any bugs.

  • Go to Settings.
  • Tap on General, then Software Update.
  • If there’s an update available, download and install it.

4. Reset Siri:
If Siri is still not speaking, you may need to reset the Siri settings.

  • Go back to Settings > Siri & Search.
  • Toggle off Listen for ‘Hey Siri’ and Press Side Button for Siri.
  • Wait a couple of moments, then enable both options again.

5. Check Volume and Silence Settings:
Ensure that your device’s volume isn’t muted or turned down too low.

  • Adjust the volume using the physical volume buttons.
  • Check if your device is in silent mode; the switch should be off (not showing orange).

6. Contact Apple Support:
If none of the above steps work, it may be time to contact Apple Support. They can provide further assistance and troubleshoot any potential issues with Siri.

By following these simple steps, you should be able to get Siri talking again in no time. Technology can be fickle, but with a little patience and the right approach, you can solve most problems. Happy asking!
