Initially, the console lacked a dedicated Discord app, but a recent update has simplified the process, allowing players to communicate with friends seamlessly while diving into their favorite PS5 titles.

Using Discord on PS5

To start chatting through Discord on your PS5, ensure your console’s software is fully updated. Once you’re set up, linking your accounts will allow smoother communication while enjoying multiplayer games.

Step 1: Navigate to Settings > Users and Accounts > Linked Services, and select Discord.

Step 2: Follow the provided link or scan the QR code with your Discord mobile app.

Step 3: Enter the code displayed on your PS5 into the app to grant authorization.

Step 4: To initiate a chat, access your Game Base station and select the Discord tab.

Step 5: Select the Discord server or group you wish to join.

Step 6: If someone calls you through Discord, you will receive a notification and can join the call with a simple click.
