ConcernedApe

Playing Stardew Valley with friends is one of the most enjoyable ways to unwind. While the game doesn’t support cross-platform play, you can still dive into multiplayer sessions with friends on the same platform—though mobile players were previously left out. With the recent 1.6 update, there’s now a way to invite your pals to your mobile farm using a hidden cheat code. Here’s how to access this experimental feature.

First, it’s important to understand that this feature is still in beta and quite experimental. The game’s developer, ConcernedApe, has kept it under wraps due to potential bugs and issues. If you’re ready to embrace the adventure, here’s a step-by-step guide on accessing it:

Step 1: Launch the Stardew Valley title screen.

Input the secret code to access mobile multiplayer in Stardew Valley.
Follow the arrow sequence to enter the secret code for mobile multiplayer in Stardew Valley.

Step 2: Tap the arrows in the following order as specified in the image above:

↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ ← → ← →, then click on the ? icon located at the bottom-right corner.

Step 3: Exit the help screen. You should now see a co-op button on your home screen.

Step 4: You can choose to either Join or Host a game.

When joining, you’ll need to enter the host’s IP address. If you’re hosting, make sure to set up the farm first so that others can connect to your IP.

To find your IP address on iOS, navigate to Settings -> Wi-Fi, tap the i next to your Wi-Fi network, and look for your IP address. For Android, go to Settings > Network & Internet > Internet. Then click the gear icon next to your Wi-Fi name to view your IP address.

Keep in mind that all players need to be on the same local network for this feature to work, meaning you can’t connect over long distances at the moment.
