Pokemon Go Fest is set to return in 2025, continuing its tradition as one of the biggest events in the Pokemon Go calendar. This year, the festival will feature both live and global events, catering to players who may not be able to attend in person. The global segment, known as Pokemon Go Fest 2025: Global, will include many of the same exciting features and debuts as the local events.

When Is Pokemon Go Fest 2025?
This year’s Pokemon Go Fest will consist of four separate events: three in-person gatherings and one global event. Each in-person event will occur at different locations around the world, and tickets will need to be purchased for entry.

How to Catch Volcanion in Pokemon Go
Volcanion, a special dual-type Fire and Water Pokemon from the sixth generation, will be introduced in Pokemon Go during this year’s festival! Ticket holders for any of the Pokemon Go Fest 2025 events will gain access to exclusive Special Research focused on Volcanion.
Completing this Special Research will earn you various in-game rewards, including a chance to meet Volcanion and add it to your collection for the very first time.
Regardless of how many Pokemon Go Fest 2025 events you attend, you will only have the opportunity to encounter Volcanion once.
How to Catch Skiddo in Pokemon Go
Another exciting addition at Pokemon Go Fest 2025 will be the chance to catch Skiddo, which was traditionally limited to specific regions. However, to obtain Skiddo, you must purchase a ticket for Pokemon Go Fest 2025: Global by April 15, 2025.
After buying the ticket for Pokemon Go Fest 2025 Global, you will need to log into the game between Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 8 am local time and Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at 10 am local time. This will grant you access to new Timed Research.
Complete the Timed Research tasks to earn a Skiddo encounter.
