What Purpose Does Adamant Serve in Hades 2?

The latest Olympic Update for Hades 2 has introduced new resources to gather, including Adamant. This new material is essential for executing specific spells, unlocking a new weapon, and upgrading it.

Exclusively found on Mount Olympus, obtaining Adamant may require some time and dedication, as it necessitates that you explore the entire Surface. This guide aims to provide all the details you need about collecting Adamant and how to utilize it effectively.

How to Obtain Adamant

Adamant can only be discovered on Mount Olympus. Like other resources such as Silver and Iron, its spawn points are random, generally yielding one or two deposits during each run. Be aware that each deposit provides three units of Adamant.

To start farming for Adamant, equip the Crescent Pick and make your way to Mount Olympus. If you’re unfamiliar with what to look for, Adamant appears as a brown rock, which sparkles to catch your attention.

How to Utilize Adamant

Adamant has multiple applications. Its primary use is to acquire the Black Coat weapon, which belongs to the Nocturnal Weapons category and also requires Cinder. Additionally, you’ll need more Adamant to improve its Aspect of Melione.

Apart from this, Adamant is essential for performing the Frozen Lifespring incantation at the Cauldron. This incantation, which consumes three Adamant and three Iris, creates a Fountain Chamber on Mount Olympus that can be incredibly beneficial during your runs. Lastly, it is also needed for the Eyes of Night and Darkness incantation, which causes Moon Monuments and Unseen Sigils to occasionally appear.

  • Moon Monuments: Defeat a formidable Elite enemy for a surprise reward.
  • Unseen Sigils: Complete a challenge by taking no damage while defeating a group of enemies to receive a special reward.
