Leaked information, data-mined models, and official trailers have hinted at several exciting new characters heading to the Marvel universe. While Marvel Rivals debuted with a solid roster of 33 characters, it appears that developer NetEase has no intention of slowing down, and fans are eagerly anticipating more heroes to join the ranks. With the vast array of characters in Marvel’s universe, players have a long wish list of favorites they hope to see. The potential for fresh team-ups among new characters adds to the excitement. Here’s a rundown of the Marvel Rivals heroes that might be making their way into the game soon.
All Potential Marvel Rivals Characters
Thanks to data-mined files and other sources, multiple leakers have uncovered references to an array of upcoming characters for Marvel Rivals. While much of this information is speculative, it indicates that NetEase is actively developing these characters.
A particularly notable leak from Miller Ross unveiled an extensive list of upcoming characters back in May, many of which have been confirmed since. The remaining characters on that list, yet to be added, include:
- Human Torch
- Ultron
- Mr. Fantastic
- Blade
- Invisible Woman
- The Thing
Given that this list included names like Wolverine, Squirrel Girl, and Moon Knight well before their official announcements, there’s a good chance we’ll see these characters join the game. This would complete the main roster of the Fantastic Four, which is currently not fully represented. Due to the age of the leak, these characters are expected to be among the first introduced.
There are even data-mined images of Ultron circulating, thanks to the Twitter account Marvel Rivals Leaks.

That’s not all; additional names have surfaced in the Marvel Rivals build files. Data-miner Matfacio has found hints regarding three more characters:
- Captain Marvel
- Hit-Monkey
- Angela
Fumo Leaks also inspected the Chinese build and found compelling evidence that Jean Grey and Emma Frost could soon be playable. Moreover, Miller Ross has also hinted at The Hood for Marvel Rivals. For those who may not know, The Hood is a Marvel villain who recently took on the Ghost Rider mantle. Whether this version will be before or after his time as Ghost Rider remains uncertain, as details are scarce.
Matfacio also reported on references to Deadpool possibly being included as a character. However, discrepancies in the files lead to a note of caution, as Matfacio mentioned, “I don’t want to fall into their trap.”
In addition to datamined information, the game has officially featured Knull and Doctor Doom in promotional content, although they are not currently available for play. Season 0 of Marvel Rivals has two iterations of Doctor Doom as antagonists, while Knull appeared in the seasonal launch trailer. With official art available for both characters, it’s possible they could be included in future updates.
