In Hello Kitty Island Adventure, you’ll find plenty of crafting spots to create delicious treats, from baking in a simple oven to operating a quirky Pompompurin-shaped Dessert Machine. Among these, you’ll ultimately gain access to the Soda Machine located on Gemstone Mountain.
This guide will walk you through everything you need to know about soda in Hello Kitty Island Adventure, including how to unlock the Soda Machine, how to operate it, and the various recipes you can try out. The island’s residents can’t get enough of soda, so be sure to unlock this machine and start crafting right away!
Where to Locate the Soda Machine
The Soda Machine is situated on Gemstone Island, just to the right of Gemstone Town. This charming area features a fast-travel mailbox positioned right in the center, above a small pond.
Once you’ve unlocked the Soda Machine, an icon will appear on your map, ensuring you can easily navigate Gemstone Mountain.
To find the machine, look for it beneath a water tower positioned between two small buildings. Keep in mind that you won’t have access to the Soda Machine immediately; you’ll need to complete a quest involving Keroppi and Pekkle first.
How to Unlock the Soda Machine
To unlock the Soda Machine, you need to complete the quest titled Parched. This quest has some prerequisites in the form of earlier quests you must finish first:
- Dessert-ed Boat
- Open the Nature Preserve
- Meet the Island Beings
Once you complete these three quests, you can visit Keroppi at the Oasis in Gemstone Mountain. He will express his desire for some soda. After this, head over to Pekkle, who can be found next to the Soda Machine.
Pekkle will introduce you to the machine, and you’ll have to craft a Swampy Soda from either Spinip or Pumpkin. If you don’t have these ingredients, the central mailbox in the Spooky Swamp is a great place to pick up some nearby pumpkins.
Upgrading the Soda Machine
When you reach friendship level six with Pekkle, the Soda Machine will receive an upgrade. This enhanced version allows you to craft sodas using two ingredients, plus a Fizzy Crystal.
You don’t need to complete any additional quests to upgrade; simply achieving the friendship level unlocks new soda types.
Once you hit friendship level twelve with Pekkle, you will learn how to craft your very own Soda Machine using ten Ingots, 100 Fizzy Crystals, and five Sparks.
Every Soda Recipe
To use the Soda Machine, you’ll need a Fizzy Crystal along with a specified additional item. For instance, to create Banana Soda, simply combine one Banana and one Fizzy Crystal in the machine.
To produce Fizzy Crystals, you’ll need Fizzy Ore, which is obtainable during the Dessert-ed Boat quest, unlocked after reaching friendship level four with Pompompurin.
