If you’re curious about how to access the Forgotten Cellar in Atomfall, you’re not alone. The game features numerous locked doors that require specific keys, and the cellar door at St. Katherine’s Church in Wyndham is no exception. Situated in the basement, where you can find Vicar McHenry and Pamela Shaw discussing a murder, this locked door has been the subject of rumors with some players claiming to hear sounds coming from behind it.
So, where can you find the Church Cellar Key, and how do you gain entry to the Forgotten Cellar in Atomfall? Here’s everything you need to know, including what you’ll discover behind that door.
Locating the Atomfall Church Cellar Key
The key to the Atomfall Church Cellar can be located inside the Medical facility within The Interchange. Upon entering Medical, take a right at the reception desk, then make another immediate right down a hallway with a bright light at the end and a brown rug on the floor. You’ll find the Church Cellar Key next to the audio log titled “Holder is Up To Something,” and this key grants access to the Forgotten Cellar in St. Katherine’s Church.
To get to Medical at The Interchange, enter through the Slatten Dale entrance, which is centrally located within Atomfall. Once you’ve restored power to Data Store Charlie, you can head to Medical, which is positioned between Data Store Alpha and Charlie, although you may need to deal with some Ferals and Outlaws along the way. Keep your guard up inside Medical too, as it’s teeming with Thralls, some of the game’s most formidable foes.
Insights on the Atomfall Forgotten Cellar
Once you have the Church Cellar Key, head back to Wyndham and unlock the door. What will you uncover? The door leads to Dr. Alan Holder, who is researching the spores. He has striking blue eyes and will ask you to go back to Medical to collect Sample One, which is essential for his studies and his goal to end the quarantine.
In addition, he offers you the Experimental Inoculation, which grants you the Infection Resistance Skill and also gives access to the Radiation Resistance and Healing Boost Skills, both of which are highly valued in Atomfall. You’ll also find four Training Stimulants in this area, so there’s plenty of valuable loot to be gained.
