The History of Luma Island
In ancient times, Luma Island was home to druids and early civilizations who harnessed magic to shape their world, often aided by mystical beings called Lumas. Nowadays, the tales of druids, the people, and Lumas have faded into legends.
Only the Talking Stones, which documented the island’s past, truly understand its history. Even after years have gone by, traces of magic still linger. Every element on the island retains a piece of that old magic through Spirits, which are essential for your adventures.
How to Acquire Every Type of Spirit
Spirits are a crucial resource for many crafting recipes, and there are five different types to discover: Water Spirit, Rock Spirit, Lost Spirit, Nature Spirit, and Earth Spirit. These Spirits are necessary for creating Luma Lifes, which are needed for hatching Lumas, and for upgrading your tools, allowing you to explore the island more effectively. Each type of Spirit has its own method for collection.
Spirit | How to Obtain |
---|---|
Water Spirit | Look for Treasure Piles, catch Critters, fish from water, or gather aquatic plants. |
Rock Spirit | Use a pickaxe to break any rock, ore vein, or gem cluster found in various locations. |
Lost Spirit | Defeat enemies like Bats and Spiders, smash vases and crates, or open chests in temples. |
Nature Spirit | Cut down trees, bushes, or grass, pick mushrooms and flowers, and open chests unearthed by Lumas. |
Earth Spirit | Grow and harvest crops like Strawberries and Apples from tilled soil. |
Most Spirits are relatively simple to collect. Regardless of the Profession you choose, you’ll be chopping trees and mining ores for crafting. However, you may find Water and Earth Spirits harder to come by unless you choose the Fisher, Brewer, or Cook professions.
Fortunately, you don’t need to upgrade every tool or master every profession to complete the game. The only essential tools required are the Pickaxe and the Axe, enabling you to gather late-game materials like Moonstone Ore for accessing advanced areas.
