Unique Guide to Chansey & Meowth Picks in Pokémon TCG

Just after the global launch of Pokemon TCG Pocket, the first in-game event has arrived: the Wonder Pick Event Part One. This event introduces exciting new promo cards, currency, and accessories that are exclusively available during this time, so make sure you participate!

While the in-game announcement lacks some crucial details, this guide will explain how the Wonder Pick Event Part One functions and clarify the differences between the two new types of Wonder Picks offered. Take a chance, reveal those cards, and find your winner!

What Is The Wonder Pick Event Part 1?

The Wonder Pick Event is a limited-time feature within Pokemon TCG Pocket centered around the Wonder Pick mechanic. Typically, a Wonder Pick allows you to copy a random card from another player’s booster, but during this event, some player boosters are replaced with Chansey Picks and Bonus Picks.

Additionally, this event introduces a whole new set of Meowth-themed accessories, including a Meowth binder cover and a Meowth backdrop suitable for your Displays.

Moreover, Wonder Pick Event Part One comes with a series of missions to help you collect more Event Shop Tickets, which you can exchange for the event binder cover and backdrops.

The event is running from October 31, 2024, through November 14, 2024.

What Are Chansey Picks And Bonus Picks?

When Wonder Picks reset, there’s a possibility of getting either a Chansey Pick or a Bonus Pick. However, these are not guaranteed, so you may cycle through several picks without encountering either option.

These special picks can appear in the Expired section, so be sure to scroll all the way down.

Chansey Picks are special Wonder Pick packs that include five promotional cards instead of five random cards. These promos consist of a mix featuring Chansey and Meowth, guaranteeing at least one promo card per pack. Chansey Picks cost two Wonder Stamina to choose.

Bonus Picks are free Wonder Picks that include cards and items. A Bonus Pick pack contains two Event Shop Tickets, two Wonder Hourglasses, and a Meowth card.

Since the event Missions provide enough Event Shop Tickets to acquire all the accessories, the Wonder Hourglasses are the best pull from these packs unless you’re in a hurry or keen to collect Flair for your Meowth.

Missions for Wonder Pick Event Part 1

The "Wonder pick 3 times" mission, marked complete.

There are seven new missions during Wonder Pick Event Part 1 that together reward enough Event Shop Tickets to buy all the new accessories.

Mission Reward
Collect one Chansey card. One Event Shop Ticket (Meowth)
Collect three Chansey cards. One Event Shop Ticket (Meowth)
Collect one Meowth card. One Event Shop Ticket (Meowth)
Collect three Meowth cards. One Event Shop Ticket (Meowth)
Wonder Pick three times. One Event Shop Ticket (Meowth)
Wonder Pick five times. One Event Shop Ticket (Meowth)
Wonder Pick seven times. Three Event Shop Tickets (Meowth)

The missions specify that only promo Chansey and Meowth cards count towards the missions. Cards obtained from standard boosters or from Bonus Picks do not count towards the first four missions.

To complete the Chansey and Meowth card missions, you’ll need to find Chansey Picks, which will require a minimum of eight Wonder Stamina. Wonder Stamina regenerates at a rate of one every 12 hours, so focus on your Wonder Picks until you’ve gathered all the cards you want.

The other three missions can be finished using Chansey and Bonus Picks, but you can also achieve them through regular picks if you’re not interested in the event or happen to miss the event options.

The Wonder Pick Event shop can be found in the Limited Time / Events tab and features three new accessories: A Meowth cover for your binder, a Meowth backdrop, and a Pink Desk Frame backdrop for your display boards.

Each of these items requires three Event Shop Tickets to purchase, and no other items are available during this first part of the event.

The Event Shop will remain open until November 20, so even if you can’t redeem your Event Shop Tickets right away, you have a few extra days after the event concludes.
