In Fortnite: Chapter 6, Season 2, players are capitalizing on crime by breaking into bank vaults and armored vehicles for lucrative rewards. While you’re busy hunting for treasure or engaging in combat, you might encounter the Gold Rush effect.
This effect bathes your hands and feet in sparkling gold, but what does it do and how can you achieve it? Let’s break it down for you.
What Is Gold Rush?
The Gold Rush effect enhances your abilities, allowing you to run faster, jump higher, and break down structures more effectively with increased pickaxe damage. Although this effect is temporary, it can be a game-changer, so be sure to take advantage of it.
How Do You Activate Gold Rush?
There are several methods to obtain the Gold Rush effect.
-
Gold Veins
You can locate Gold Veins on the island’s western side, where the ground features veins of gold ore. While the area seems rich in gold, be sure to head to specific spots to mine these veins. Using your pickaxe on them will trigger the Gold Rush effect.
Mining from these Gold Veins will grant you Gold Bars along with the Gold Rush effect.
-
Gold Rivers
Also on the western part of the island, the water here is imbued with gold, likely due to the abundant ore. Diving into the Gold River water will also activate the Gold Rush effect, though unfortunately, you won’t collect any Gold Bars.
