Volleyball Legends is a game on Roblox that takes inspiration from the well-known Japanese anime and manga series, Haikyuu. It features high school characters who engage in competitive volleyball tournaments. In Volleyball Legends, your goal is to play volleyball against other players to secure victory.
The outcome of a match can be influenced by various factors, including the "styles" each player chooses. There are a total of 21 different styles, each associated with a character from Haikyuu. These styles contribute differently to a player’s performance and possess proficiency across a range of eight or nine categories, which fall under five main types.
The Tier List
This tier list evaluates each style based on its overall effectiveness and contribution to team dynamics. The ranking considers how each style can significantly impact game outcomes as well.
- S Tier: This tier encompasses the most versatile styles, which can dramatically influence the game’s result and lead the team to success.
- A Tier: Styles in this category are highly versatile but may require the support of teammates to cover any weaknesses.
- B Tier: These styles are fairly standard and need team support to make an impact, though they can still serve as competent backup players.
- C Tier: Styles in this tier are not particularly impressive and are generally best to avoid.
Volleyball Legends assigns each style at least eight categories to assess their ranks, with one "secret" style that features nine categories. Common categories include block, bump, dive, jump, serve, set, speed, and spike. The secret style includes all of these, plus a special "tilt" category.
Style Commonality
In Volleyball Legends, there are six common styles, represented by the color green, which have a 62.5% chance of appearing when acquiring a new style. These include Hinoto, Saguwuru, Yamegushi, Tonoko, Haibo, and Kito.
Four rare styles, designated by the color blue, come with a 35% chance of being rolled. Rare styles can be a fallback option if players lack better choices, including Nichinoya, Tsuzichiwa, Ojiri, and Iwaezeni.
Legendary styles have a 2% roll rate and are marked in red. While there are seven such styles, not all are equally useful. Legendary styles consist of Uchisima, Sagafura, Yabu, Kuzee, Yomomute, Kosumi, and Azamena.
Finally, there are three godly styles, represented in gold or yellow, with a 0.49% roll rate. These styles include Kageyomo, Oigawa, and Butoku. The game also features one secret style, associated with Sanu, which has a 0.1% chance of being obtained. This secret style is fully proficient in four categories, including the special category.
S Tier
The S Tier is home to the top-performing styles:
Tier | Style | Reason |
---|---|---|
S | Sanu (Secret) | Sanu’s style excels in four categories, including the secret "tilt" that allows for strategic movement and unpredictability, making it the strongest choice. |
S | Oigawa (Godly) | Oigawa stands out for its proficiency in jumping and serving, making it a solid choice despite being average at spiking. |
S | Kageyomo (Godly) | Kageyomo may only master one category, yet its proficiency in other areas is nearly ideal, aside from bumping and spiking. |
S | Uchishima (Legendary) | Uchishima shines in jumping and spiking, contributing significantly to scoring when paired with effective teammates, although it lacks in bumping and setting. |
S | Hinoto (Common) | Hinoto is the most balanced style in the game, with equal proficiency across the board, making it adaptable and reliable. |
A Tier
This tier consists of high-quality styles with unique advantages:
Tier | Style | Reason |
---|---|---|
A | Butoku (Godly) | Butoku is proficient in blocking, jumping, and spiking but has slower movement and below-average setting capabilities. |
A | Sagafura (Legendary) | Sagafura offers outstanding movement speed; however, both its spiking and serving skills are less impressive. |
A | Yabu (Legendary) | With great jumping and speed stats, Yabu excels as a supporting player, though it lacks in serving. |
A | Kuzee (Legendary) | Kuzee demonstrates strength in multiple categories, especially in jumping, despite slower movement rates and below-average diving and setting capabilities. |
A | Nichinoya (Rare) | Ranked A Tier due to its game-saving potential, Nichinoya is quick and competent in bumping but struggles with serves and spikes. |
B Tier
B Tier features reliable yet less impactful styles:
Tier | Style | Reason |
---|---|---|
B | Yomomute (Legendary) | Yomomute excels in bumping, making it useful for keeping the ball in play despite lacking other strengths. |
B | Kosumi (Legendary) | Kosumi generally performs well across most categories, but it struggles with serving and spiking. |
B | Tsuzichiwa (Rare) | Although Tsuzichiwa has decent jumping abilities, its low scores in bumping and speed limit its overall effectiveness. |
B | Ojiri (Rare) | Ojiri provides above-average skills in most categories, lacking only in setting, diving, and spiking. |
B | Saguwuru (Common) | Saguwuru performs adequately but still suffers from lower proficiency in bumping and diving skills. |
B | Yamegushi (Common) | This style struggles with setting and spiking, making it less useful in competitive situations. |
B | Iwaezeni (Rare) | Iwaezeni showcases decent stats across the board except for bumping and diving, which hinder its effectiveness. |
B | Azamena (Legendary) | With slow movement and poor setting skills, Azamena doesn’t perform as well as other options in competitive play. |
C Tier
C Tier styles signify players who may struggle to contribute significantly:
Tier | Style | Reason |
---|---|---|
C | Tonoko (Common) | Tonoko has severe deficiencies in setting, speed, and diving, with marginally above-average spiking skills. |
C | Haibo (Common) | Haibo falters in serving, diving, speed, and spiking, making it less than ideal despite slightly better jumping ability. |
C | Kito (Common) | Kito shows weaknesses in serving, setting, and spiking, rendering it less effective overall. |
In summary, Volleyball Legends offers a rich variety of styles that can greatly influence gameplay, allowing players to choose according to their preferences and team dynamics.
